Ergonomics at home and in the office - training available soon

We are currently working on a new application related to ergonomics that utilizes augmented reality in a game. In the game, a virtual employee appears who performs their work in a manner that does not comply with ergonomics principles, and our task is to identify hazards and improve desk settings. During the gameplay, we will be able to learn about the impact of prolonged sitting on our health. The player will have the opportunity to learn how to prevent harmful effects resulting from improper workstation setup and how to take care of their health while performing daily tasks.

Gameplay I: Ergonomic Home & Office - Part I: Risks of Sedentary Work

Carpal tunnel syndrome

One of the hazards associated with prolonged sitting at work is carpal tunnel syndrome. Within our application, the participant can learn what exactly this problem is, how it arises, and what are the effective methods of prevention. At the end of the game, the player will have the opportunity to perform a "medical procedure simulation," which will allow them to experience the extreme case of neglect related to sitting work and understand how serious the consequences of this occupational disease can be. Thanks to our application, the user can learn how to take care of their health while performing daily tasks, as well as how to prevent serious injuries and occupational diseases associated with prolonged sitting work.

Fat hump

Another risk you will learn about in our training is the development of a "fat hump" caused by improper monitor placement. Incorrect height or angle of the screen can cause the formation of a fat hump.
